Open/Operational
Parks, Forestry and Recreation programs and permits will continue during regular operating hours. Saturday, November 30, 2013 will mark the official start to the holiday season in Toronto with the celebration of the 47th annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Great Gulf. Featuring the illumination of Toronto’s official Christmas tree, performances by some of Canada’s top musical talent, a brilliant fireworks show and a skating party at Nathan Phillips Square, the festive event is a holiday tradition in Toronto.
The City of Toronto has launched a new blog to help Torontonians learn more about the Heritage Conservation District (HCD) studies and plans happening throughout the city. The blog is called Heritage Conservation Districts in Toronto.
"The new blog will be a resource to learn about milestones, events and ways to participate in the heritage conservation district studies and plans currently underway in the city," said Councillor Peter Milczyn (Ward 5 Etobicoke Lakeshore), Chair of the Planning and Growth Management Committee. "This is an example of how we want Torontonians to be better informed and more engaged in our city."

On July 16th, 2013, Council requested that the Children's Services Division organize a summit for Toronto parents. The purpose of the summit is to hear directly from parents their priorities, issues and challenges in accessing child care and other services for children and families. Findings will inform the City's Child Care Service Plan and the new funding model for child care that is currently under development.

Proposal
This application proposes an 8-storey (24.7 metre) residential building containing 9 live/work units at grade with 90 dwelling units above, and 12 multi-floor townhouse-type units with grade related access at the rear of the building (total of 111 units). The proposed building would have a gross floor area of approximately 8,726 m² and a density of 4.0 times the lot area. Two levels of below grade parking would contain 93 parking spaces.
