Monday, November 11 is Remembrance Day and while many City of Toronto services and civic centres will be closed, several will be open. Below are the details on what is open and closed on November 11.

Open/Operational

Parks, Forestry and Recreation programs and permits will continue during regular operating hours. If you have any program-specific questions, contact your local community centre at http://bit.ly/171BOi0. The City's five golf courses will be open and are offering twilight rates for green fees and cart rentals. More information is available at http://www.toronto.ca/parks/golf/index.htm.

Toronto Police Services 55 Division and its 55 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (C.P.L.C.) will host a Town Hall meeting at the Matty Eckler Community Center on Wednesday the 20th of November 2013 starting 7:30 pm. The City of Toronto has launched a new blog to help Torontonians learn more about the Heritage Conservation District (HCD) studies and plans happening throughout the city. The blog is called Heritage Conservation Districts in Toronto.

"The new blog will be a resource to learn about milestones, events and ways to participate in the heritage conservation district studies and plans currently underway in the city," said Councillor Peter Milczyn (Ward 5 Etobicoke Lakeshore), Chair of the Planning and Growth Management Committee. "This is an example of how we want Torontonians to be better informed and more engaged in our city."

Tenants will have a chance to ask questions and be part of the discussion. This meeting is being co-hosted by East End Tenants and Tenants for Social Housing

On July 16th, 2013, Council requested that the Children's Services Division organize a summit for Toronto parents. The purpose of the summit is to hear directly from parents their priorities, issues and challenges in accessing child care and other services for children and families. Findings will inform the City's Child Care Service Plan and the new funding model for child care that is currently under development.

The City is holding a Community Consultation meeting where you can learn more about this application ask questions and share your comments.

The proposed building would have a gross floor area of approximately 8,726 m² and a density of 4.0 times the lot area. Two levels of below grade parking would contain 93 parking spaces.
