City of Toronto to launch easier, more convenient process for disputing parking violations
The City of Toronto is introducing a new, easier and more convenient process to dispute parking violations. Disputes for parking violations received on or after August 28 will be handled by the City instead of through the provincial court, improving customer service by providing faster resolutions and a more efficient overall process.

The City of Toronto is asking residents if they think the City should pursue a tax on vacant homes in Toronto. A vacant homes tax is one of a number of initiatives the City is considering to address housing availability and affordability in Toronto. Vacant homes represent a potential source of readily available housing and a tax may encourage owners to rent out vacant units.
The annual Taste of the Danforth is taking place this weekend. There will be plenty of food and fun, and also the following road closures:
Danforth Avenue, from Broadview Avenue to Jones Avenue, will be closed in both directions from Friday, August 11 at 10 a.m. to Monday, August 14 at 3 a.m.
Pape Avenue, from Lipton Avenue to Hazelwood Avenue, will be closed in both directions from Friday, August 11 at 6 p.m. to Monday, August 14 at 3 a.m.

'Tkaranto Past/Tkaranto Future' is the new mural on the walls of Woodgreen Services at 650 Queen St. East in Riverside. The mural was created by artists Odinamaad (Isaac Narcisco Weber), Chief Ladybird (Nancy King) and Dave, along with Indigenous youth and traditional knowledge keeper Philip Cote.
This vibrant mural speaks to the area's First Nations heritage and is full of messages of celebration and survivance of the past, as well as welcomings and good wishes for the future.
Please find attached a Briefing Note outlining the details of the watermain and TTC track work that will take place at Queen and Coxwell Starting July 31.
For the watermain work Coxwell avenue through Queen Street East will be limited to one southbound lane only. Northbound motorists will have to divert at Eastern avenue.
This project will involve a full intersection closure from September 5 to 29 in order to replace the TTC streetcar track.

Classes may be over for the summer, but parents at one east Toronto school say they'll continue fighting what they say is a dangerous situation for their children.
The streets around Morse Street Junior Public School, near Queen Street East and and Carlaw Avenue, have become plagued with speeding and reckless drivers who are jeopardizing their children's' safety, according to the parents.
