City of Toronto expanding walk-in vaccination to four City-run clinics
As of noon tomorrow, the City of Toronto is making walk-in vaccinations available at four City-run immunization clinics, including the Toronto Congress Centre clinic that opened to walk-ins yesterday. Moving forward, walk-in vaccinations will be available daily from noon to 7 p.m. for anyone age 18 or older to receive a first or second dose mRNA vaccine at the City-run Toronto Congress Centre, Cloverdale Mall, The Hangar and Metro Toronto Convention Centre clinics.
Executive Committee approves framework for a tax on vacant homes in Toronto
City Council’s Executive Committee has approved City of Toronto staff’s tax design and implementation plan to introduce a new tax on vacant Toronto homes starting in 2022. The goal of the tax is to change the behaviours of vacant home homeowners, encouraging them to sell or rent out the homes, thereby increasing the housing supply.
