Today, the Mayor announced the launch of a new mobile app for 311 Toronto, making it easier and more convenient for residents, businesses and visitors to connect with 311 Toronto – anywhere, anytime on any smart device.
Team Toronto will host a super supportive and accessible COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Monday, January 31 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the City of Toronto vaccination clinic in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St. W. The clinic is part of Team Toronto’s ongoing efforts to reduce barriers to vaccination and ensure that all populations, especially those who are most vulnerable, have every opportunity available to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Today, the City of Toronto announced that Toronto is among the top places to live and work in the film industry, according to MovieMaker magazine. Ranked number two on MovieMaker’s list of the “Best Places to Live and Work as a Moviemaker in 2022,” Toronto moved up 10 spots on the list since last year – a leap that is more than double that of its closest competitor.
The City of Toronto is working with the Province of Ontario to distribute rapid antigen tests to licensed child care programs in the community for use where a staff member, child care provider or child in care is showing symptoms of COVID-19.
Following this week’s provincial announcements, Team Toronto and Toronto Public Health (TPH) continue to support schools and school boards, as students return to in-person learning on Monday, January 17. In-person learning is essential for the mental and physical well-being of students.

Today, all those 18 years and older who had their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine more than three months ago, became eligible for a third dose, or booster, vaccine. Over the weekend, Mayor John Tory announced the City of Toronto and its Team Toronto partners have ramped up vaccination capacity to 1.2 million doses per month in anticipation of those seeking further protection from the Omicron variant of concern.

It’s been another year of the pandemic and we’ve been getting more used to all of the big changes made in 2020. It feels like we’re in a new “normal,” but I know 2021 has still been tough for many.
Today, Toronto City Council approved the extension of the City of Toronto’s COVID-19 temporary bylaws, the Mandatory Mask bylaw (541-2020 and 664-2020) and the COVID-19 amendments to Chapter 354, Apartment Buildings until the end of City Council’s April 2022 meeting.
Starting this morning at 8 a.m., more than 100,000 appointments will be available on the provincial booking system for eligible Toronto residents to book their third doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
