In this series, Canada Post highlights 8 gates of Chinatown across the country to highlighted the most important angle for the gate in their community, giving each stamp a truly local feel.  The gate honours Chinese Canadian settlers, particularly those who laboured on the transcontinental railway.
The Zhong Hua Men Archway is a gateway to the east end as the only traditional Chinese archway in Toronto. Canada Post has recognized this archway and other significant Chinese archways across Canada with a series of commemorative stamps. Can't wait to see these stamps in the stores!

Councillor Paula Fletcher's Community Environment Day May 11, 2013 Riverdale Park (east)

Join us in Riverdale Park (east) for activities, compost pick up and to dispose of recyclable materials.

Reuse, Recycle and Safely Dispose

Do your part in creating a cleaner, greener and more liveable Toronto. Bring us your unused and unwanted household items and you will help to:

Who is that person planting flowers in the park?  How can I adopt a tree?  When can I next see a Shakespeare production at Withrow?  When is Dusk Dances returning?  Who are all those people gathered at the rink throughout the Spring?  What has been happening to improve the soccer field?  What improvements are planned for our playgrounds?  What can I expect to find at the farmers' market this year?  How can I get involved in these activities?

Join your neighbours to share ideas about upgrades to the playgrounds in Withrow Park.

  • Hear about the project
  • Review shade options
  • Explore play equipment
This is the second of three City-led community planning meetings. Your input is welcome.
