PANAMANIA, is the 35-day arts and culture festival to enrich the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games experience. More than 250 unique performances and exhibitions, both free and ticketed, will take place across Toronto from July 10 to August 15. PANAMANIA will showcase the diverse cultures and artistic excellence of Ontario, Canada and the Americas through music, theatre, dance, visual arts and fashion.
In celebration of the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, Toronto’s Prince Edward Viaduct, also known as the Bloor Viaduct, will be transformed into an even more spectacular landmark through a unique lighting installation officially launched during a special TORONTO 2015 Torch Relay celebration on July 4, 2015.

The City of Toronto, Metrolinx and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) are working together on multiple, related transit planning initiatives to bring more transit to neighbourhoods across the city and region.
These transit planning initiatives include the GO Regional Express Rail (RER), SmartTrack (including the Eglinton West Corridor), the Scarborough Subway Extension and the Relief Line. Together, these major transit planning initiatives and studies will help improve the transit network in Toronto and integrate connections between existing transit lines and future projects across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area.
The City of Toronto is developing Complete Streets Guidelines that will provide a holistic approach to how streets in Toronto are designed.
"Developing a complete streets approach will help the City balance the many competing demands on its rights-of-way," said Councillor Jaye Robinson (Ward 25 Don Valley West), Chair of the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee. "Having guidelines on complete streets will streamline and consolidate our approach to road design, ultimately creating better street-design decisions."
After very careful study, I support the removal of the eastern portion of the Gardiner and its replacement with a new Lakeshore Boulevard to Jarvis Street. I want to give you some background on the Gardiner and tell you my reasons for coming to this decision.
Background
In 2009, the City of Toronto and Waterfront Toronto initiated an Environmental Assessment (EA) to look at 4 options for the Gardiner East of Jarvis: Maintain, Replace, Improve, or Remove. (Click here for the Terms of Reference).
Registration for the City of Toronto's summer swimming and skating programs begins this weekend on Saturday, June 6 at 7 a.m.

One special event involving closures of main roads – the World Partnership Walk – will take place in Toronto this weekend. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy this event. Businesses in the areas affected are open to pedestrian traffic, but some roads will be closed to vehicles.
Festivals and other special events are important to the city, injecting hundreds of millions of dollars annually into Toronto’s economy, and they are enjoyed each year by local residents.
The City of Toronto is reviewing public tennis court operations and the policy that covers outdoor tennis clubs. Staff will host a series of public meetings in June to obtain input from tennis court users, including members of tennis clubs, as well as interested non-users of Toronto's municipal tennis courts.
