The diverse list of film and televisions productions share two big commonalities — they've all won awards and they're all filmed in Toronto.
And the city hopes to boost the profile of Hollywood North still further with the help of the popular website, the Internet Movie Database (IMDb).

Council Highlights is an informal summary of a selection of the decisions made by Toronto City Council. The City Clerk's formal documentation is available at http://www.toronto.ca/council.
Revenue strategy Council adopted measures involving City of Toronto revenues, agreeing to ask the Ontario government to make legislative reforms that will allow the City to implement tolls on roads owned by the City and a tax on hotel and short-term accommodation rentals. Council specified that all revenue collected from road tolls on the Don Valley Parkway and the Gardiner Expressway will be dedicated to transit and transportation initiatives.

Residents invited to join discussion about Toronto’s 2017 budget. The City of Toronto's Budget Committee will hear public presentations on the preliminary 2017 tax supported budgets next week. Members of the public can make a presentation at sub-committee meetings on January 5, 9 or 10 at locations across the city. The City of Toronto's 2017 preliminary operating and capital budgets were presented at the Budget Committee meeting today, and members of the public are encouraged to learn more about the budget process and the 2017 preliminary budgets. Thank you to everyone who attended the Tiverton Park meeting. Your feedback is incredibly important and helps the consultant and parks staff understand how you use the park, and what improvements matter to you and your family.

The boards provide a range of options on play equipment and other park amenities that you are invited to comment on.
