EAST END Arts, one of six city-funded organizations across Toronto that exists to promote local art, is moving out of its Danforth Village digs.

The group, which began supporting the arts in Wards 29, 30, 31, and 32 in 2013, moved into a third-floor office at the Silver Mill (10 Dawes Rd.) after spending a year above the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave.).

Metrolinx, an agency of the Province of Ontario, is working to transform the way the region moves by building a seamless, convenient and integrated transit network across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Over the next ten years, Metrolinx is transforming the existing GO rail system to deliver a whole new rapid transit experience to your community. With more frequent train service you’ll have more options to get you where you need to go.

The City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) in partnership with Metrolinx jointly announced today that public meetings will be held on plans for a Relief Line South subway project. The public consultation is outlined in a document issued today called Notice of Commencement and Public Meetings for the Transit Project Assessment Process (TPAP).

There are already a wide array of producers and film executives who want to set up shop in Toronto but have no place to film. Regrettably, this is not a new phenomenon. In 2016, Ontario lost $130 million in production value due to lack of studio space.

The City's site delivers information and services to more than 19 million visitors each year and is one of its main customer service channels. Feedback from the public helped shape the new design and navigation, which bundles information and services by topic and audience. The site's content is more concise and it's easier than ever to interact with the City online. The City, Metrolinx and TTC are working together to bring more transit to communities across the City. To achieve this, we are looking at ways to improve the connectivity of the transit network through the introduction of new SmartTrack stations.

The City of Toronto’s SmartTrack concept proposes using the Metrolinx GO network to provide additional and more frequent transit service in the City of Toronto. Within Toronto, six (6) new SmartTrack stations are planned for the Stouffville/Lakeshore East and Kitchener corridors.
