East End Love

There is a lot of East End Love in Toronto-Danforth. I’d like to share these amazing initiatives, people and places with you.

The Neighbourhood Food Hub is an exciting community-driven initiative that aims to support health, wellness and community development through food-related programs and services. Working in partnership with Applegrove Community Complex, East End Community Health, the Leslieville Farmers Market, FoodShare Toronto, Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre, Fontbonne Ministries, Red Door Shelter and Toronto Community Housing among others, the project is building on the deep roots of Glen Rhodes Church’s long history of supporting and engaging the community by providing access to a food bank and monthly community dinners. The Food Hub offers many programs and workshops for the community.

The Neighbourhood Food Hub is continuing to deliver fresh produce and healthy prepared meals to those who need them during the COVID-19 outbreak. Making sure people have access to fresh, healthy food is a priority. A big thank you to all the volunteers!
