Waterfront Toronto, the City's Waterfront Secretariat and staff from Transportation Services will also be joining to get your feedback and answer your questions.

For years Torontonians have sought to make sure that our waterfront undergoes revitalization. Now two big waterfront revitalization projects are underway at the same time – the naturalization of the mouth of the Don River and the takedown of the Gardiner Expressway from Logan to Jarvis Street. You will get an overview of these projects and the times lines at the meeting.

These combined projects are the largest civil engineering works in all of the country and perhaps North America. They are exciting and transformative for our city, but they also have impacts on East Enders moving about their neighbourhoods and across Toronto.

When City Council debated the future of the Gardiner Expressway, a hybrid model was endorsed as the preferred solution. The City and Waterfront Toronto completed further studies to identify the ideal alignment for the Gardiner and Lakeshore Blvd East from approximately Lower Jarvis Street to just east of the Don Valley Parkway at Logan Avenue. You can find further information on the City's website.

You can also find information on the Port Lands Flood Protection Project and the Lake Shore Boulevard East Project online.
