This significant project includes a new skating rink and ice trail, winter
lounge, Zamboni station, >new playground, new barrier-free accessible ramp, access pathways, and site furniture and
lighting improvements.
Project Timeline:
2015: Park concept design is complete. Construction drawings and tendering of the project is complete. Early summer 2016: Construction begins (see below for closures and access impacts) Spring/ Early summer 2017: Anticipated completion (weather permitting)Construction Impacts:
While we make improvements to the park, there may be some inconvenience to users accessing the pool, tennis courts, and dogs off-leash area (DOLA) during the 2016 operating season. Temporary access will be provided to the park as follows:- Pool and DOLA: from Montcrest Boulevard through the park driveway
- Tennis Courts: from the Tennis Crescent staircase (located at the north-east corner of the tennis courts)
IMPORTANT: Full closure of the playground and outdoor rink will begin early summer 2016 and will last for the entire duration of the project construction.
