City Councillors is cancelled
and will be combined with the Budget Review
meeting on December 2, 5 and 6, 2011. Councillors
may attend these
sessions, question staff and address the Committee on all aspects of the
Budget to
be considered on those days.
The Chair of the Budget
Committee has indicated that he intends to propose procedural motions that
will
give effect to the following:
1. Only persons who have preregistered to
speak by 4:00 p.m. on December 6, 2011 will be
allowed to address the
Budget Committee.
2. The meeting on December 7, 2011 will recess at 9:30
p.m. and, if necessary, will reconvene
at 9:30 a.m. on December 8, 2011
to hear any deputants remaining on the speakers list.
3. The public
hearing session of the Budget Committee will adjourn by 9:30 p.m. on
December
8, 2011. No additional time will be allocated for public deputations.
4.
To ensure that the Budget Committee hears from the maximum number of people, a
motion
may be made to reduce the speaking and question times for the
public and Members of
Council.
