To our valued customer:Re: IMPORTANT NOTICE – Underground Construction- Project Dundas- Greenwood
Toronto Hydro is in the process of upgrading the electrical system on your street. We are planning to construct underground ducts, switching vaults & cable chambers. The affected streets of this project are Alton Avenue, Badgerow Avenue, Curzom Street, Dagmar Avenue, Dundas Street East, Gerrard Street, Greenwood Avenue, Hiltz Avenue, Jones Avenue, Leslie Street, Mallon Avenue and Pape Avenue. The construction will begin mid January 2011 and is tentative to be completed by late September 2011. All work of this project will take place on City property. Additionally, during the duration of our work, parking lanes will be occupied by our workers which will reduce traffic to single lanes in each direction. We will do our best to minimize inconveniences during the construction. The scope of work includes open trenching, tunnel excavation and installation of well points to control ground water in order to install cable chambers, switching vaults and conduits to maintain a reliable level of service to you and your neighbours. The planned work for this project does not anticipate any power interruptions. Entera Utility Contractors and Toronto Hydro Inspectors will be on-site throughout the course of this project. We encourage you to discuss any concerns you may have with them directly. Please be informed that work is scheduled for both weekdays and weekends. Restoration will be done in various stages during construction of the project. All asphalt between cutlines will be replaced if affected by our excavation. After Hydro’s construction, the City will make permanent asphaltic concrete repairs. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding in this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience and recommend customers to exercise caution around construction areas.
