This application proposes the demolition of the existing low rise single and semi-detached houses at 5, 7, 9, 11, 15 and 19 Cosburn Ave and 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40 Gowan Ave to facilitate the construction of a residential apartment building. The proposed building will be 15 storeys and includes a total of 316 residential units. The proposal also includes a parkland dedication of approximately 450 square metres at the North West corner of the site, with a pedestrian connection proposed to extend from the public park to Gowan Ave. This application is currently under review by City staff and relevant agencies. This is the beginning of the process and your comments are welcomed. City Planning will be scheduling a community consultation meeting and I will be sure to keep you updated.
