Starting tomorrow at 8 a.m., seniors age 70 or older in 2021 will be able to register to book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment. The City of Toronto is making an additional $3 million available to all shelters, 24-hour respites sites, temporary response programs and daytime drop-ins to support implementation of additional Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) measures. ActiveTO is coming back to East Toronto – and the rest of the city – after a successful campaign last year to get people outside safely.
The program was introduced in May 2020 as a response to COVID-19 and the need for physical distancing to reduce the spread of the virus. It was hugely successful, local councillors said, and it’s coming back for 2021.

The City’s three operating mass immunization clinics are prepared to welcome newly-eligible seniors once they have made confirmed appointments in the provincial booking system.
