February 25 - Getting it Right - Major Transit Investment Consultations
Our Ward 30 neighbourhoods are at the center of many new transit initiatives by
the TTC, the City and Metrolinx, which is a provincial agency. The TTC Relief
Line route is proposed to go from Pape Station to Queen. The Metrolinx Regional
Express Rail (GO RER) plan is reviewing new GO RER/SmartTrack stations at
Gerrard Square and the Lever Brothers site on the Don Roadway. The TTC's
Waterfront LRT will stretch across the waterfront to Leslie. On Thursday,
February 25 City Planning is hosting a public meeting at Riverdale Collegiate to
give you an
in-depth look at major transit priorities. This meeting will give an overview of the network planning approach,
feasibility, timelines, and the priorities our City has set for transit
expansion.

City Planning Transit Consultations
When: Thursday, February 25 Time: 6:30 - 8:30pm Where: Riverdale Collegiate
Institute, 1094 Gerrard St. East
After several false starts and debates focused on sloganeering, it's time for
Toronto's transit planning to be based on ridership and dollars well spent. The
meeting will have a special focus on the Relief Line, which will pass through
Ward 30. City Planning have recommended a 'preferred corridor' from Pape Station
to Queen St. West, via Pape and Queen.
Along with the Relief Line, the consultations will include updates on GO
Regional Express Rail and SmartTrack which will also pass through Ward 30. The
public consultations will also include information on Scarborough transit
planning and waterfront transit expansion. For more information on these
projects, visit the following:
