The annual Taste of the Danforth event will include several road closures:
Danforth Shooting Memorials
The Danforth Shooting memorials have been temporarily moved in front of St. Barnabas Church, where they will remain until a more permanent memorial is eventually erected. The largest number of memorials were located in Alexander the Great Parkette (Logan and Danforth), and they were moved by City workers brought in for the relocation. The love and support shown from the community has been truly heartwarming.
A memorial service is planned at Taste of the Danforth on Friday, August 10th at 8 pm on the Logan Ave stage. There will also be a tribute to the first responders on the Broadview stage at 6 pm.
The "Toronto Together" concert to raise funds for the victims is also taking place at Danforth music Hall on Saturday, August 11th.
