Riverdale Co-op's newly re-developed housing site at 685 Queen Street East is nearing completion.
I worked for many years to secure approvals and funding for this project, including a $5 million contribution through the community benefits agreement for Riverside Square.
As part of the funding agreement with the city, Riverdale Co-op has agreed to operate the new building as an affordable housing project in perpetuity.
Building Details
The current re-development includes an extensive renovation of the existing building and the addition of 17 new units, for a total of 26 units.
The new building will be fully accessible with studio, one, two and three-bedroom units available. Construction is expected to be completed this December 2023 and occupancy beginning in January 2024.
