November 26 - TTC Wheel-Trans Public Consultation Meeting

TTC's Use of Video Recordings on Wheel-Trans Vehicles for Reassessing Customer's Eligibility

TTC is committed to a transparent process to determine eligibility for Wheel-Trans. In July 2013, the City of Toronto Ombudsman reported on her investigation into the TTC's use of video recordings on Wheel-Trans vehicles for purposes of reassessing customers' eligibility.

The Ombudsman recommended that, should the TTC wish to continue using video recordings, the TTC engage in meaningful public consultation with respect to its use of video surveillance on Wheel-Trans vehicles to reassess eligibility.

It is the TTC's intention to continue to use video recordings on Wheel-Trans vehicles in its process for reassessing a customers' eligibility for Wheel-Trans. The public consultation meeting is an opportunity for you to learn about and provide feedback regarding changes to the TTC's use of video-recordings on Wheel-Trans vehicles.
