News Release - Laneway Named After Inspiring Black Woman in Early 1900s Leslieville Unveiled
Luella Price Lane was named after the Eureka Club founder and resident of the Black community in early 1900s Leslieville.
The Toronto East Rotary Club is holding its 6th Annual Arts and Crafts Sale on Saturday, November 14th, 2015, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, at Eastminster United Church, at the corner of Danforth and Jackman Avenues (one block west of Chester subway station) with a number of diverse Artisans selling their creations. Refreshments will be available, together with live music, face painting and a draw. Proceeds raised go to community projects including the Out of the Cold Program at Eastminster. Admission is free.
