This month's City Council session was especially significant for me, as two initiatives I've worked on for a long time came to fruition.
Next Steps on Sports Fees
Here are the next key dates and activities for the sports field permit fees
issue. Last month City Council exempted the new fees for 2012 and passed this
motion, which requests Parks, Forestry and
Recreation to consult with the Toronto Sports Council and permit holders before
reporting back to the July 11, 2012 meeting of City Council.
Toronto Sports Council Workshop for sports groups to identify
what advice we have for City staff before they report to Executive Committee in
June and Council in July. City of Toronto staff will attend to hear the results
of our discussions.

On Line Survey The City has prepared an online questionnaire. Visit this link to fill out the online survey on behalf of your organization. The deadline to submit the survey is noon on May 16, 2012. City Consultation Meeting. The City is organizing a meeting to gather information to prepare the staff report which goes to the Executive Committee meeting on June 12.
