Winterfest 2019 is taking place on Sunday, March 3rd at Greenwood Rink. New this year will be a Skate Exchange run by the City's Recreation staff. Residents are encouraged to drop off skates from February 23rd to March 3rd at Greenwood Rink or at Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre at 86 Blake Street .
The Skate Exchange will run from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on March 3rd at Greenwood Rink where residents can donate, exchange or get a pair of skates at no cost.
Also taking place at Winterfest is a women's only Learn to Skate lesson at 1:00 pm followed by a co-ed Learn to Skate lesson at 1:30 pm. There will be an advanced skills session run by a Maple Leafs Alumni player from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. The event will also have free face-painting and hot chocolate.
