Join Councillor Paula Fletcher at the Leslieville Tree Festival on Saturday, June 17th at Leslie Grove Park from 12 pm to 4 pm. This is a free, fun-filled celebration with plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

This year there is a new and exciting activity – kids will have the chance to climb a 24 foot high climbing wall! Instructors will be on-site to help and supervise. The Toronto All-Star Big Band will also be performing at the festival. This acclaimed and very talented group of young musicians revive the sounds of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.

Families can join LEAF for a guided tour to learn about the many types of trees in the park and learn tips on how to care for trees in their own yards. Kids will have an opportunity to become a citizen scientist through a Nature Hunt with EcoSpark.

There will be free face painting, a story teller, musical buskers, a stilt walker and clown, as well as many interactive exhibits and pop-up performances. LEAF’s popular mascot, Barkley, will also be making appearances.

There will be many vendors from local businesses and environmental organizations as well. For a full list, please visit http://www.yourleaf.org/leslieville-tree-festival.

The Leslieville Tree Festival is presented by LEAF, Councillor Paula Fletcher, Toronto Hydro, Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation and the Leslieville BIA.
