Join us to wish the Port Lands Bridge 'Bon Voyage!'

Waterfront Toronto is pleased to invite you to a virtual watch party as the first of four new bridges sails from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia bound for Toronto’s Port Lands.

The new bridge will connect downtown Toronto to the future Villiers Island that is being created as part of a $1.25-billion flood protection project in Toronto’s Port Lands.

The first of these bridges is starting its journey to Toronto later today!

About the bridges

These bridges are being delivered as part of Waterfront Toronto’s Port Lands Flood Protection project, funded by the Governments of Canada and Ontario, and the City of Toronto.

Design, engineering and fabrication is a collaborative effort across the design and engineering teams at Entuitive, Grimshaw, and Schlaich Bergermann, manufacturer Cherubini Metal Works and Construction Manager EllisDon. Read more about the design and engineering here.
