Re: Hydro Overhead Construction –Project Pape

We are planning to rebuild the overhead electrical system in your neighbourhood. The existing system is nearing the end of its life expectancy and this project will improve service reliability and reduce the frequency of outages. Expected work includes the replacement of existing poles and transformers.

The construction is scheduled to commence in early January and completion is expected by October 2011. The boundaries for the project include Bain Avenue (North) to Langley Avenue (South) and from Kiswick Avenue (East) to Carlaw Avenue (West).

Throughout our work, you will experience a power interruption which will last approximately 4 hours. We will endeavour to keep the interruptions to a minimum and to give you approximately two days notice to the outage. Restoration will be done in various stages during construction of the project. Where we excavate, grass will be replaced with new sod, disturbed concrete bays will be replaced.

I thank you in advance for your co-operation and understanding in this matter. Should you require additional information, please contact the PowerUp office at

416-542-3366 or [email protected] and reference Project Spears Street. For further information on the PowerUp program, please visit http://poweruptoronto.ca/.
