Celebrate Family Day on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Family Day 2020 includes a variety of recreational opportunities such as leisure swimming, skating, ski, arts, dance, sports and fitness as well as a sampling of locally programmed activities.

All programs are offered in a drop-in format with no pre-registration required. A full listing of open facilities and activities can be found at toronto.ca/familyday.

Swimming

Leisure swimming will be available at many indoor pools on Family Day. City-run leisure swims are free of charge for everyone.

Skating

There are many outdoor rinks, arenas or skating trails to choose from across the city. There is no charge for public skating at the City’s indoor and outdoor rinks and trails.

Skating at Nathan Phillips Square

The rink is open regular hours, with a special skating party from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. sponsored by Tim Hortons. Special activities include:
  • informal skating instruction
  • hot beverages at the Tim’s House lounge

Skiing

Earl Bales and Centennial Ski and Snowboard Centres are open on Family Day, weather permitting. Regular admission fees apply.

General Interests

We offer a wide range of creative recreational programs for every age group. From cooking to a family movie, there’s something for everyone this Family Day.

Arts & Dance

Explore your creative side with arts & dance this Family Day! Whether you want to try dance, music or even family crafts, be sure to check out what we have to offer.

Sports

Select sports programs will be available for the whole family. Children accompanied by an adult can enjoy yoga, Zumba®, gymnastics, sports, and much more.
