"The new source of funding for Toronto's arts and culture sector will have a profound impact on Torontos cultural vitality, said Councillor Michael Thompson (Ward 37 Scarborough Centre), Chair of the City's Economic Development Committee. We need input from the public, as well as Toronto's cultural community, to help us decide where to invest these funds, and how to measure their effect."
In addition to these public consultations, an online survey is available until April 30 at
http://fluidsurveys.com/s/city-of-toronto-cultural-services-creative-capital-investment/.
These public consultations are being presented by the City of Toronto and the Toronto Arts Council with the support of the Creative Capital Advisory Committee and the Beautiful City coalition.
The public's input will become part of a multi-year cultural funding implementation plan that will be presented to the City's Economic Development Committee in May.
