April 10 - Relief Line Project Assessment

The City of Toronto, with support from the TTC, will be hosting two public events in your community to introduce you to the Relief Line Project Assessment. We are seeking input on the proposed study process (Terms of Reference) and our approach to public consultation for the study.

Date:                   Thursday, April 10, 2014 Open House:    5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. (presentation starts at 6:30 p.m.)

Place:                  Riverdale Collegiate, 1094 Gerrard Street East

The first hour will be an open house format followed by a facilitated workshop.

The Thursday, April 10th meeting will also feature a joint presentation and facilitated session with Metrolinx staff, who will discuss regional network options to relieve transit crowding along the Yonge corridor and improve how people move across the region. Metrolinx is seeking input on the preliminary list of options and how they are evaluated for the Yonge Relief Network Study.

Come join us to provide feedback on our studies.

Background

The City of Toronto and the TTC are commencing planning for the "Relief Line", a future rapid transit line that would connect downtown Toronto to the Bloor-Danforth Subway east of the Don River. It will assist in relieving crowding on the Yonge Subway Line and the Bloor-Yonge Interchange Station as well as provide riders with more travel options.
