Earlier this week, we learned Ford intends to expropriate city land to impose jets and convention centres on our waterfront without any consultation.
Ford's plan also has serious and far-reaching impacts on residents, the environment and the city's plan to build thousands of new, affordable homes in the Port Lands.
While the federal government has jurisdiction to intervene, the Minister of Transportation has unfortunately expressed interest in Ford’s plan.
However, rest assured: we will not stay quiet.
Nor will we hesitate to stand up for our community, city and waterfront, an urban natural treasure that belongs to us all.
