At the recent meeting with Metrolinx residents on Muriel and Gertrude expressed frustration with the parking situation due to the Ontario Line. Over the holidays I sent around some proposed changes from Transportation Services.
I want to give you an opportunity to let me know which solution you think would work best, or to provide additional suggestions.
Below are some of the options we will discuss at my zoom meeting.
-
Extended Permit Parking Hours (Monday to Friday):
Amend the existing permit parking hours on the west side of Muriel Avenue (between Gertrude Place and Selkirk Street) to be 4:01 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. -
One-Hour Parking (Monday to Friday):
Introduce a one-hour maximum parking regulation from 11:01 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the same section of Muriel Avenue. -
One-Hour Parking (Saturday and Sunday):
Introduce a one-hour maximum parking regulation from 10:01 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on weekends for the same area to deter non-residents from parking on your street for prolonged periods. - Permits for the Toronto Parking Authority lot on Pape Ave.
- Your ideas!
One-hour parking during the day typically deters non-residents from parking on your street for prolonged periods.
I am hosting a zoom meeting on January 13th at 7pm to discuss these options.
