Kids' Vaccine Town Hall

On November 29, 2021 I hosted a virtual Kids' Vaccine Town Hall to help answer your questions and concerns about the vaccine for kids ages 5-11. I was joined by Dr. Janine McCready, Infectious Diseases Physician at Michael Garron Hospital, and Councillor Joe Cressy, Chair of the Toronto Board of Health.

I know how important your children's health and well-being are, and that some of you may need more information before booking an appointment.

Dr. McCready provided a very informative presentation and we answered many of your questions.

If you missed it, here is the recording:

Below you can find further information on how to book an appointment.

Updated November 29, 2021

To book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, children must be turning five years old by the end of 2021 (born in 2016).

Appointments at City-run clinics can be booked online or by calling the provincial vaccine booking line at 1-833-943-3900.

Vaccination appointments for children ages 5-11 are available at the five City-run clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Woodbine Mall, Scarborough Town Centre, Cloverdale Mall and Mitchell Field Arena. The clinics have been set up with child-friendly settings. Experts in children’s health were consulted to help provide a positive vaccination experience for children. Read the City's news release for more information.

The City is also hosting Toronto Kids Vaccine Day on Sunday, December 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Scotiabank Arena. Click here to learn more.

All vaccinations, including for children ages 5-11, are available at City-run clinics by confirmed appointment only. Additional appointments will be released in the provincial booking system as the vaccination campaign continues and additional supply is received. You can find details and updates on the City's website.

East Toronto Health Partners (ETHP) are also operating mobile and pop-up vaccine clinics across the East End. First doses, second doses and booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are available by walk-in to people aged 12 and up at ETHP clinics. For first doses for children ages 5 to 11, please book an appointment at the ETHP Thorncliffe Park Community Hub clinic. This is a dedicated COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 5 to 11 which features a family-friendly design. Please check the ETHP website for further details:
