The city and Waterfront Toronto confirmed plans at a public meeting on March 26th to increase density on our future island in the Port Lands to get a 30 percent affordable housing target.
This is great news! The increased affordable housing target comes after resident feedback and my hard work over many years to ensure everyone has a chance to live on our new waterfront.

We also discussed the Indigenous naming of streets, parks and places in the Port Lands.
This exciting initiative will be further discussed at Executive Committee on April 9th. You can read my letter to Mayor Chow and the Executive Committee here.
